Parish Redevelopment Project

Satellite image 2007
Early in 2012, we began holding discussions with the Diocese of Perth regarding the possibility of developing the unused land at the rear of the church site in order to fund a major refurbishment of the parish complex.

The project consists of two stages:
  • Stage One: construction of a residential complex consisting of 12 units for sale and a new Rectory (priest's residence).
  • Stage Two: refurbishment of the parish complex, car parking areas and outside facilities.

Stage One (residential development) is scheduled for completion around November 2014.  The first part of the Stage Two works, being the construction of car parking with disabled access, electrical upgrades and some landscaping improvements around the front and sides of the church complex, will commence in August 2014 and should also be completed by November.

Due to construction works, parking around the church building at this time is quite limited.  Once the car park construction commences, the contractor will mark temporary spaces where parking is permitted, and will also mark a pedestrian access corridor.  These areas will possibly change several times during the construction phase, and hall users will be advised as this occurs.  When bitumen and kerbing are due to be poured, the entire area must be completed in one process, so for a period of 1-2 weeks there will be no on-site parking available.  During this phase, parishioners and hall users will be requested to utilise on-street parking.

Your patience during the car park construction phase will be greatly appreciated.  Please advise Fr Evan or the wardens of any particular difficulties so we can try to keep disruption to a minimum.

On this page you will find the following documents:
